Leather Frog for Axe, Tomahawk, Hatchet, Sword, Dagger
This sturdy 10-11 oz BLACK drum dyed bridle leather frog is the same premium product that we’ve made for thousands of SCA and Ren-Faire participants. It is sealed the full length on all sides to prevent die transfer onto your attire. It is crafted from 1 1/2″ strap and and fitted with a solid metal ring to hold a variety of pommeled or headed weapons upon your belt. These are very popular with SCA and LARP fighters who would like a handy simple harness to hold a weapon. It has excellent utility for holding flashlights or anything else that you’d like to keep close at hand.

Ring Bore:
Our standard ring has a 2 inch (51 mm) inside diameter.  We have added another option for a LARGE ENGRAVED ring that has a 2 1/2 inch (63 mm) ID. We can accommodate different requests for bore of the weapon by adjusting the ring size. Just let us know what you’d like and we’ll craft something to make you happy. Some extra charges may apply to pay for the additional cost of hardware and shipping.
Width:
1-1/2 inch (38 mm) wide sealed latigo or  bridle leather.
Worn on a belt:
The top loop is intended to be worn with a 1-1/2 inch wide belt but we can easily adjust to different width upon request.
Rivets:
We use matching rivets to the color of the ring. Brass with brass.  Steel with steel.
Notes:
You can save a dollar or two by buying a cheaply made frog elsewhere.  But if features like
colorfastness, leather grade and quality, finished edges, rustproof ring and fasteners, and superior design and assembly are on your list of things you’d like, we’re ready to serve you.

This fine leather product is handmade entirely with hand tools in our smoke free workshop in Saint Albans, Vermont.
